KA’s® Mocha Jake Dahlia

KA’s® Mocha Jake is an exceptionally beautiful pale blush dahlia, producing layers of softly luminous petals that can read almost creamy white in certain light. The coloring is remarkably delicate — the faintest wash of blush gives the flowers warmth without pushing them fully into pink, making Mocha Jake especially useful for weddings, romantic arrangements, and sophisticated neutral palettes.

But the real reason to grow Mocha Jake is that she performs. Plants bloom prolifically, producing an abundance of beautifully formed flowers on strong stems over a long season. She is also a good tuber producer in our garden — exactly the combination of beauty and reliability we look for in a cut-flower dahlia.

Why We Grow It: Mocha Jake is one of those varieties that makes practical sense to keep year after year. She blooms generously and is a particularly good tuber producer for us, but she still has the refined look of a much fussier dahlia. We love varieties that don't make us choose between beauty and performance, and Mocha Jake gives us both.

When do tubers ship?

We ship late winter through spring when temperatures are safe for transit. Preorders are reserved and ship in order received.

Do you ship internationally?

No, we cannot offer international shipping at this time.

What is your guarantee?

We guarantee a healthy tuber with a viable eye. If there’s a concern, email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can help. Our guarantee does not cover inadequate or excess moisture, critter or insect damage, frost damage, nutrient issues, or other growing conditions beyond our control.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

All sales are final and cannot be cancelled or modified.

Do you combine shipping?

We combine multiple orders to the same recipient name and refund extra shipping on orders placed through March 29.

How should I store tubers before planting?

Keep in a cool, dry place (40–50°F), away from moisture and freezing temps. Do not pot up until your soil and air temps are suitable.
