Bloomquist Essence formal decorative dahlia with soft pink layered petals

Bloomquist Essence Dahlia

Bloomquist Essence is a beautifully balanced pink formal decorative dahlia. The color sits in that rare sweet spot between pale blush and bright pink—soft enough to feel romantic, but saturated enough to hold its own in the garden and in arrangements.

The blooms are compact and beautifully formed, with layers of neatly arranged petals that give them a polished, almost porcelain-like look. It is an easy pink to work into a wide range of palettes without disappearing or taking over.

Why We Grow It: Bloomquist Essence is prolific—truly one of those dahlias that seems to bloom constantly. We love it just as much for the color: the sweetest pink, neither too bright nor too pale, but somehow exactly right. It is dependable, useful, and beautiful enough to earn its space year after year.
