Ferncliff Rusty dahlia plant covered in prolific dusty-rose ball blooms and developing buds

Ferncliff Rusty Dahlia

Ferncliff Rusty is a beautifully rounded ball dahlia in a versatile dusty rose that deepens toward raspberry in bright light. Despite its name, the color reads far more rose than rust, with just enough muted warmth to blend effortlessly into nearly any palette. Compact 3–4 inch blooms rise on useful stems, and the plant begins flowering early before settling into remarkably generous production.

Why We Grow It: I dare anyone to find a more productive dahlia than Ferncliff Rusty. It blooms early and prolifically, then finishes the season by making so many tubers you may not know what to do with all of them. The dusty rose color is the final advantage: warm, useful, and easy to blend with almost anything.
