Erpeler Ley Dahlia

Erpeler Ley is a striking informal decorative dahlia in an unusual blend of warm apricot, copper, and cerise. The petals deepen toward their tips and twist and curl as the flower opens, creating large, loose blooms with wonderful movement and dimension. The color can shift as the blooms mature, moving between glowing apricot-orange, copper, and deeper rosy-red tones.

There is something wonderfully untamed about Erpeler Ley. Its long, curling petals give the blooms an almost chrysanthemum-like quality, while the warm, complex coloring makes it especially beautiful in late-summer and autumn arrangements.

Why We Grow It: After two seasons in our field, Erpeler Ley has convinced us it deserves a place in the catalog. The color is difficult to describe and even better in person—a shifting mix of apricot, copper, and rosy cerise that changes as the blooms mature. We especially love the loose, curling petals, which give the flowers so much movement and personality. This is our first year offering tubers, and we're excited to finally share it.

When do tubers ship?

We ship late winter through spring when temperatures are safe for transit. Preorders are reserved and ship in order received.

Do you ship internationally?

No, we cannot offer international shipping at this time.

What is your guarantee?

We guarantee a healthy tuber with a viable eye. If there’s a concern, email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can help. Our guarantee does not cover inadequate or excess moisture, critter or insect damage, frost damage, nutrient issues, or other growing conditions beyond our control.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

All sales are final and cannot be cancelled or modified.

Do you combine shipping?

We combine multiple orders to the same recipient name and refund extra shipping on orders placed through March 29.

How should I store tubers before planting?

Keep in a cool, dry place (40–50°F), away from moisture and freezing temps. Do not pot up until your soil and air temps are suitable.

Are you an authorized reseller for KA’S® varieties?
